A collection of compositions by some of our students:
In my opinion what
scares people most are those things that they are not able to know or to
understand. I’m really afraid of two specific things,
which are: spiders and monsters.
On one hand, we have spiders, I can’t stand them. They are so small, so
nasty that I get even paralyzed when I see them. This fear of mine
started some years ago, when I got up from my bed and I saw a huge, black hairy
spider on the wall. As soon as I saw it, I ran into my parents bedroom to make
them get up and kill that horrible spider.
On the other hand, there are monsters. Well, when I was young my parents
told me that monsters didn’t exist. And although I know they do not
exist, I’m not able to see a horror film, because the next day, and even the
following week I will be having nightmares.
So, why am I so frightened of monsters if I do not believe in them? I guess that
it’s because I don’t understand them, they are something unknown for me, but of
course, I’m not going to take the risk of being killed by some freaky creature.
Phobias are so irrational.

I' m really afraid of spiders because when I'm stung by them I have terrible pains. Also I'm really afraid of lifts because there are so small and I think that they can be stopped, and we couldn't' t get down of it.
The thing that scared me the most is the darkness, I don't know why, but I thing that is because I don't see if there are other people near here or something like that.

What causes horror?What scares me most?
Horror is a mental process, probably caused by a bad experience in the past or because a fobia to something.
On the one hand, many people are scared of certain animals like spiders or snakes and others are afraid of ghosts and paranormal happenings. On the other hand, many people are scared of staying alone at home, especially if they have seen recently a horror film.
In my case, I love staying alone at home but I have to admit that if I hear a strange noise at night I get scared. In addition, I have never had a paranormal experience so, I cannot be afraid of that.
Finally, the only thing that really causes me fear is the death.

I remember a horror film that I saw this summer about one girl,Nicole,and one boy,Kevin,who retourned to home from friend’s wending.It was a rainy night and suddenly they saw a girl walking by the high way but they couldn’t stop the car on time and they ran over the girl.They saw that the girl remained immovable on the ground but they didn’t help her and they went away.
The next day they were worried about the girl,so,they asked if it had any accident on the previus day,but nobody knew anything because the girl was a gosht.From that night Kevin and Nicole saw the mysterius girl in horrible nightmares,especially Kevin. Once the girl appeared in photos that Kevin had made to students. Then they began to investigate on that girl and they discovered that she was a old Kevin’s girlfriend that he had recorded in a video her while his friends were raping her!! Later ,she displeased by this, committed suicide. When Nicole discovered the real story she got upset with Kevin. And finally Kevin finished on a insane hospital

My Fears
I think I have a lot of fears. It’s something that everybody has, although someone want to deny it. Any simple thing can scare us, even the most stupid object or animal...
For example, I’m afraid of all type of reptiles. They make me feel sick, also I’m scared of them. When I was young I always dreamt that I was surrounded a lot of snakes, or rattlesnakes, pythons... It was awful! I always used to wake up crying and I couldn’t sleep during the night.
But not only snakes make me feel like that. Everybody tells me that it’s a silly fear but when I have a lizard near even, if it’s the smallest lizard in the world, I feel panic!
On the other hand, I’m scared of speed. I can’t help riding fair rides wich go very fast because I feel that I’m missing of breath, and I feel very nervous when I go by car with somebody who drives with a lot of speed.
Finally, I’m going to tell you my bigest fear:
I think the worst thing of all, it would be losing any relative or a close friend. Especially some of my grandmothers, I couldn’t live without them. I know they are very old but they are the most important people in my life (obviously with my parents). They are people who I admire and they are the people who I love most. They are all for me. I have already lost my grandfathers, without meeting them, so I don’t want they leave me alone.

The fear is a feeling that shows the reject of something or someone. It’s a quality of each one, an each person screams for a different things.
For example, there are some people who are easily scared with spiders. Other people get scared dogs, some are frightened by the open spaces, and others with the reduced spaces, etc... And all the fears have a word for that it, like aracnophobia, agoraphobia or claustrophobia, are some of them. When I was child, I waas frightened by the spiders, although now I I’m not afraid of them. But a thing that I have always been afraid, are the bees.
In my opinion, the fear is something that everybody wants to avoid, and some people tell that they don’t get scared with anything to seem braver than the othes.

MY FEARS:
I don´t belive in ghosts neither in suprenatural things, but what I`m really afraid of is people, because there are a lot of them who are really crazy. Everyday we can hear in television news in every part of the world (including Spain) where are usually victims of murders, kidnapping or rapes.
There are two films what are really nasty. There are ``The silence of the lams´´ and ```Hanbal´´. The plot of those movies is a man who eats people (he´s a canival). There are just movies, but in the world, are many people who do similar things.
A few days ago, I heard in the news about a girl who was walking with her boyfriend. They stopped in front of a chinesse shop and she decided to go in. Her boyfriend kept waiting at the door. 15 minutes later, he entered because she was in for a long time. When he went in the shop his girlfriend wasn´t there. He asked the shop assistents and they said that they didn´t know where she was, so he phoned the police. He was sure that his girlfriend hadn´t gone out the shop.
When the police arrived, they found her with another girl shouting in a small room. The chinesse wanted them to take out all their organs to traffic with them.
It seems to me horrible. I think that we don´t have to talk about ghost or something like that because we have enough with real and ordinary people.
